Parking: About 5 vehicles on a gravel lot. Don't drive

down too close to the river, these is loose sand and leaves

that will be difficult to drive up out of.
 

Quality of Road Access:

Direct access from Highway 63 (Hopewell Road) immediately on the north side of Brooks Bridge. BE CAREFUL leaving the site and turning onto Highway 63 because it is difficult to see oncoming traffic to the left. Convex Mirror across road helps.

Trailer Turnaround: Possible, but tight.

Quality of River Access: The bank right next to the river is a little steep and weedy. Do not try to drive below the gravel parking area, it is very soft sand and leaves and you are likely to get stuck - even with 4WD.

Driving Directions: From Highway 25E in Tazewell, take Cedar Fork Road for 8.5 miles; continue straight onto Highway 63 for about another 0.5 miles across Brooks Bridge. Immediately across the bridge turn left into the gravel parking area.
